A Textual Commentary On Romans 16:26

(a) Rom. xvi. 25–27. These three verses are placed at the end of chap. xiv. by the mass of the recent copies, —that is, by no less than two hundred and sixteen of those which have been examined in this passage, and by the Harclean Syriac ; while they are found in this place in Vulg., Peshito Syr., Memph., Æth. ; with B C D E, and five other copies. These verses stand in both places in Arm., with A, 17, and two others. F G omit the verses altogether. Here then the ancient testimony of versions in favour of the common text accords with that of the most ancient MSS., in opposition to the vast numerical majority of copies.
