Matthew 9:12

But when Jesus heard that, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need of a physician, but those who are sick do.”

A Textual Commentary On Matthew 9:12

(a) Ἰησοῦς ἀκούσας – Ἰησοῦς before ἀκούσας is omitted by Codices Vaticanus and Sinaiticus, but overwhelming external authority requires its retention. Internal evidence is not unfavorable, since the IC might either be lost in two copies, or removed by critics as superfluous and, as regards style, better away.
